Synopsis
Tender humor — meet the sexy, sordid, and outright shocking. Gloves, masks, whips, and a dominatrix (Bulle Ogier) clad in black leather — a split level apartment houses a dungeon of perverse pleasures in this controversial classic. A provincial thief (Gérard Depardieu), who likes to “see behind people’s walls” finds himself thrust into a Parisian world of BDSM when a botched burglary leads him to a prostitute who specializes in love, pain, and joie de vivre.
