Synopsis
Edie Falco and Jay Duplass star in this moving depiction of an ex-con’s re-entry into society after serving his prison sentence. Writer/director Lynn Shelton (YOUR SISTER’S SISTER, HUMPDAY) uses her humanist instincts to skillfully portray the deepening connection between Falco’s Carol, a teacher who advocated for her former student’s prison release, and Jay Duplass’ Chris, who has formed a strong attachment to her.
