Synopsis
As the Cat Program Manager of Austin Pets Alive!, Monica oversees the adoption and care of nearly 4,000 cats each year. Her passion for improving the country’s feline sheltering systems and love of sassy cats helps save even the most challenging of felines. Dr. Kim Percival-Leland is from New Orleans, LA and chose to go to Texas A&M University for undergrad and veterinary school. She graduated with honors and moved to Austin, where in 2000, she opened the Cat Hospital of Austin. It was the first hospital of its kind in the Austin area, and Dr. Percival Leland has been committed to providing a caring staff and set of great resources for healthcare for Austinites’ feline friends. Dr. Percival-Leland is committed to adding integrative medicine to the Cat Hospital services; she is board certified as an animal chiropractic, and herbal and nutritional supplements have been added to the practice. She lives with 4 cats, 4 dogs, an 11-yr old (human) son, and her wife, Tiffany.
